Marilyn Marr
Marilyn S. Marr is also a classical musician, church musician and music director Ms. Marr received lessons from Marina Grin (l992 – l994), graduate and faculty member of the Moscow Conservatory, specializing in Classical and Romantic music with emphases on musicality, theory and pedagogy. Lessons from internationally known classical artist John Delevoryas (1984 – 1992), a graduate and faculty member of Julliard School of Music, focused on the Romantic, Late Romantic, Impressionist, and 20th Century Contemporary composers. Lessons from recording and concert artist, John Kraus, (1980 – 1984), a student of Carl Leifheit, Egon Petri, and graduate studies and faculty member of San Francisco Conservatory concentrated on the Baroque, Late Romantic and Impressionist periods with emphases on harmony, ear training, improvisation, practice and performance skills. Other studies include advanced organ from Marion Ritchie, and creative improvisation from Martin Mann. Ms. Marr is certified in piano, organ, and voice by the "Music Teachers Association" of California, where she is an active member. She also is a member of the "National Guild of Piano Teachers", and the "American Guild of Organists". Ms. Marr attributes her success to her faith in God, hard work, and a passion for music. |
